I was raised in north-eastern Ohio, where I trusted Christ as Savior at age fourteen. My faith grew quickly through Navigator-led Bible studies. Attending the University of Akron, I graduated with a degree in Education but during that time, through a number of short-term global outreach trips, God increased my desire to serve Him overseas. For this reason I attended Dallas Theological Seminary, getting my Masters in Theology with an emphasis on the Great Commission. I served in a number of countries, briefly in Philippines and Albania, and ultimately ended up as a church-planter in Macedonia. During this time I married my wife Becky, who had been widowed with three little girls (Abigail, Gretchen and Natalie- ages 1, 2 and 3.) We moved to Macedonia and a year later our son Seth was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. God soon moved our family to Istanbul, Turkey where we served for 10 years. In 2010, we moved to Jackson Hole, where Becky and I managed dude ranches while the kids finished high school and entered college. In 2019, God opened the door for us to move to Hailey and we have been involved with CBC ever since.
